Gusty winds brush clouds away. Delicious stars sing the story of once… Cozy up and listen to the notes they play…
Tuck one foot up beside me…the other rests on the ground… heel…toe…heel…toe… never making a sound… it keeps the swing persuading … gently… to and fro… thoughts … they drift now … as on we go …
I fell into a starry night…caressed by clouds above the woods…it held me soft and asked me if I could…
Could you see…
Circling strokes with brilliant ease. Hear colors whirling in the breeze. Cool night air is thick with paint in dreamy shades of blue. I placed them there…lovingly for you…
Could you feel…
In a moment of unbridled passion the wind calls out and teases the leaves to dance. The trees…they answer… with an arch and a sway that beckons the wind in wild romance…
Could you hear…
Flashes and clashes of fiery yellow…heat up the night…as a bow across strings…stars echo the rhythm…and wordlessly ring…
Could you taste…
Traces of silver slide evermore…through open window to reach the floor…as white as cream…velvety true…sweetly, sir moonbeam…kisses you…
All keep time to eternal song… color and wind and violin…
Will you sing along…
Could you hear a painting… could you see a song… could you feel love upon the wind…lasting forever long…
Gliding on the porch swing…to and fro…to and fro…
Could you ever…

I love those headings and even the italics, like swaying in the wind. So many aspects of a piece help bring it together! Well done! And thank you for your support for my scholarship vote in my last article! https://elleguyence.wordpress.com/2018/03/02/please-vote-im-a-scholarship-finalist/

Again, you created a beautiful scene Suzanne. Like a dream. You have the incredible ability to create those dreamy scenes. You always make me want something, a tree, a porch swing. You put me in a world that I can dream myself away. Love the sequence of the scenes, love the way your playing of words. It’s so gentle, so lovely…Take care Suzanne 😊❤️

Thank you so much Isabelle. A couple weeks back I had a lovely evening on the swing under the stars. It has been so gray and cold lately but the swing was a treat that night and my thoughts drifted to so many places. Thank you for reading Isabelle and for such thoughtful comments. They mean so much to me. Take care 😊❤️

I can imagine how lovely that evening was. I don’t have a porch swing, there’s a swing in children’s playing area near our house, but it’s not the same 😊 I know I’ve already said it but you’re really good at creating beautiful dreamy scenes with some carefully selected words. There is always an internal coherence in the texts and poems. I often struggle finding suitable expressions which reflect exactly what I have in mind at that moment. I fail sometimes. You’re brilliant! Again, take care Suzanne 😊❤️

Have you ever enjoyed a porch swing? My grandmother had one when I was small. She and I would sit together and sip iced tea and she would tell me things. Thank you for your kind thoughts. 😊 I cannot tell you how often I go back over something I’ve written and think how I’ve messed up. 🙃 I love your writing. You have such a gentle soulful way of expressing yourself.

Yes I’ve enjoyed a porch swing but I never owned one myself. I wish I could, pushing back and forth on a sunny day, dreaming away. Such lovely moments you had with your grandmother. It’s excellent material for a new poem or story. I do the same Suzanne, I go back immediately after a post has been published and I get upset with myself if

I pushed the wrong button Suzanne, here comes more 😊 I get upset if I discover grammatical mistakes or wrong word order, and I’ll change the text though I’m sure nobody will notice it or care about it at all 😁. Thank you for the kind words about my writing, it really means a lot. Take care, Suzanne 😊❤️

Like the synesthesia (hearing color, seeing sound). It’s a psychedelic thing. I hear that it can happen on LSD, but I wouldn’t know firsthand.

I didn’t know that about LSD. We try to define the senses so clearly the way we do so many other things as well. Neat little boxes. But there are so many different ways of seeing things. And they can be very nice. Thank you 😊
